RTW Journey To Do List: Travel Vaccinations

My round-the-world trip is exactly 4 weeks away, and I’m quickly learning that time is running out fast!  I have so much to take care of in the next 28 days.  I know somehow it’ll all manage to come together.  Today’s big adventure in preparing for the RTW journey?

Travel Vaccinations!

Went to my appointment at the Travel Clinic and managed to get myself stabbed in the arm with 3 different needles (Teatnus, Typhoid and Yellow Fever), and got a whole whack-load of prescriptions, pills and vials of medications to hopefully keep me healthy and off of deaths doorstep while abroad!

The only travel vaccinations I opted out of today were Japanese Encephalitis and Rabies — both of which I can get in Australia or New Zealand if need be.  But the Japanese Encephalitis vaccination consists of 2 shots and you have to wait 4 weeks between shots, and is ridiculously expensive — 2 shots, costing $250 EACH!  I already dropped a pretty penny at the clinic, and will have to pay a stupid amount at the pharmacy when my prescriptions come in — I’m holding off on the JE vaccine for now. Same goes for Rabies.

Anyone else out there travel far and wide and have the joy of getting poked in the arm/ass/large meaty area in preparations for fun times?

This is the first photo I've seen of you. I'm ever so relieved that I'm not launching into a marriage of convenience with an unattractive Canadian :-p

Warren & Betsy got a similar dose of shots… but decided against rabies.
